The KNSMFP are a group of stick men that live on the planet Pluto. One of these stick men has decided to reveal the secret art of Ninja Stickdom to our world, saving Earth at its most needy hour.
As a result, the KNSMFP gets himself into some interesting situations, leading to some very silly jokes and some very poor stick drawings!
This site is suitable for comic lovers of all ages.
Good question! The author of the KNSMFP, Scott Hollier, has no artistic ability whatsoever. He is a very sharing person though and felt it would be a great idea to put his stick drawings on the Internet for all to see.
The KNSMFP was created in 1995 during a university lecture on Spatial Analysis. In order to stop Scott from falling asleep, he started scribbling stick drawings on a piece of paper and so started the KNSMFP phenomenon.
A web site was put up for a short time in 1996 but it was difficult to read as it was a direct scan of the original drawings. The site was taken offline shortly after Scott finished his degree and was relaunched in 2000.
Ironically one of the reasons for relaunching the web site was due to using the KNSMFP as a university project for demonstrating the importance of accessibility. This proves once and for all that constructive works can come out of boring lectures!
The web site has been designed in this way to try and make the KNSMFP as accessible as possible to blind and visually impaired Internet users.
Some of the accessibility features include large print, the use of a white-on-black colour scheme for comfortable viewing and a script version for text browsers or text-to-speech software.
Scott Hollier comes from Perth, Western Australia and is currently studying towards a PhD in Internet Studies at Curtin University. His thesis topic is the Social and Educational Impact of Internet-related Technologies on People with Disabilities.
Scott's hobbies include catching up with friends, listening to music, playing the flute, collecting old home computers from the 1980s and, of course, drawing stick people. If you would like to contact Scott, please e-mail him at scott@ninjastickmen.com.
Given how precious time seems to be these days and the sheer amount of information that is now available on the Internet, Scott would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting this site.
